Touched by an Angel Review

I watched "Touched by an Angel" a couple of days ago. And wow, that was an incredible show. The DVD cover would say, "Laugh Out-Loud Funny". As I finished watching it, the first thought that came to my mind, are there more episodes of this?. And it turns out, there is! It's actually a discontinued CBS show, which happens to be a Christian show.

It's so good to find well done Christian comedy after all. Some Christian movies are such a dread to watch. Maybe because most of them are made in the Drama genre and I don't like Drama. But probably the biggest reason is that Christian film makers just don't have the kind of funding, Hollywood films get.

Well, back to our show. The one I watched was the first season of the show, called "The Southbound Bus". The story begins as two angels meet at a bus stop. One "Mama Angel", and the other one, Monica, who appears to be a student angel. Well, Mama Angel breaks the news that Monica is promoted. She no longer has to help pull cars out of ditches, but gets to work on case work! The first case is to go comfort a little boy who lost his mother. Monica gets on the bus, with the help of a ticket which appears in her pocket, and goes North. Her assignment is to not lose the boy out of sight. She meets him at a bus stop as he tries to steel money from a visitor at a food place. After she protects the boy from a gang of street bullies, he asks "Which way are you going?" So Monica ends up working as a babysitter of the boy.

Monica fails to follow directions and messes up the assignment, by interfering into human affairs at a wrong time. Well, I'll stop now, before I spill too much details. But you can watch the episode for yourself at videos.intellichristian.com.

Hi, I'm Aleksey, and I'm the founder of this site. I really like science, history, movies, and electronic music. I direct and act in short films. I write songs and play a guitar, and sing in a music team. I try to learn as much as I can about science and history. And I sometimes host live events dedicated to Christian film, music, science, and history. I don't claim to be the world's top expert on the things I write about. I just write about things I enjoy writing about. If my scientific theories sound cheesy, please don't criticise me, I don't have all the answers. Nobody does. Even Einstein didn't have all the answers. If I sound politically incorrect, forgive me. I'm a Jesus freak. I have a BS degree in Civil Engineering. Sometimes I wonder why God didn't send me to study music, or science, or film, or video game design, or history, or business, instead. But as I think about it more, I realize that engineering is that unique field that prepares you for all of those.
